Hole 7
Tee Approach
Playing Tips
Hole Overview
Hole 7 at Spring Park may be the shortest hole on the course, but it is also arguably the most picturesque.
Players are immediately challenged by overhanging trees on the left-hand side of the green, and a deep fairway bunker guarding the right. The hole’s defining feature, however, is the water hazard that winds its way along the right side of the fairway, creating a striking visual from the tee and adding pressure to the tee shot.
While short in length, the 7th rewards placement over power, with the best scoring opportunities coming to those who position the ball carefully and avoid the trouble framing the hole.
Playing Tips
Distance control on the 7th is the key to success. A controlled tee shot aimed towards the left-centre of the fairway will keep the water hazard out of play while also avoiding the deep bunker on the right.
Players should also be mindful of the overhanging trees on the left side of the green, particularly when choosing to be aggressive from the tee. Selecting a club that prioritises accuracy and leaves a comfortable approach distance is usually the smartest strategy.
Staying patient and positioning the ball correctly will give golfers an excellent opportunity to attack the pin and walk away with birdie.
