Hole 3
Tee Approach
Playing Tips
Hole Overview
The first of Spring Park’s four par 3s is arguably the most challenging, with trees and out of bounds looming down the right-hand side and little margin for error around the green.
A large bunker guards the front of the elevated putting surface, ready to gather any shots that fall short. The green itself slopes away at the back, with long shots feeding into thick rough and surrounding trees, making distance control the key to success on this demanding short hole.
Playing Tips
Club selection is critical on this hole. The tee shot often plays longer than it appears, particularly with the prevailing wind typically into the player, so taking one extra club is usually the smarter option.
The safest miss is generally short of the pin rather than long, as shots carrying over the back can leave a difficult recovery from rough or trees. Focus on a smooth, committed swing and aim for the centre of the green, especially when the pin is tucked near the edges. Par here is a strong score.
