Hole Overview
The 5th hole is the longest par 3 at Spring Park Golf Course, playing 163m from the Acacia tees. Playing uphill, the hole requires a well-struck and accurately judged tee shot to find the elevated green.

A large bunker guards the right-hand side of the putting surface, placing pressure on any shot drifting in that direction, while a steep slope behind the green will repel shots that carry too far, often leaving a difficult recovery from beyond the putting surface or even the nearby 6th tee.

The green features a pronounced back-to-front slope along with subtle internal contours that requires precise green reading. An interesting par 3 that rewards smart strategy and precise execution.

Playing Tips
From the tee, favouring the left-hand side of the green is the safest play, with many golfers choosing to shape a gentle draw away from the bunker protecting the right side. Missing right leaves one of the toughest up-and-downs on the course, making the centre-left strategy a smart option.

Because of the uphill nature of the hole, taking enough club is essential, but players should remain cautious of the steep run-off behind the green.

On approach, keeping the ball below the hole is key. The green’s back-to-front slope and subtle contours can make downhill putts extremely quick, while an uphill birdie attempt offers a far more manageable chance to score.
