Hole Overview
One of the most picturesque holes at Spring Park, the 2nd is a gentle dogleg left that combines visual appeal with strategic shot-making. Framed beautifully from tee to green, the hole invites players to shape their way along the fairway while carefully considering their angle into the approach.

A pond guards the front-left portion of the green, adding both challenge and pressure to approach shots. The green itself features a distinctive elongated back-left section, creating a unique pin position that rewards precision and thoughtful club selection. A visually striking hole that offers plenty of character early in the round.

Playing Tips
Positioning from the tee is key on this gentle dogleg left. A tee shot favouring the right-centre of the fairway will open up the best angle into the green and provide a clearer view of the approach. Players attempting to cut the corner should be mindful of the trees lining the left-hand side.

Commit to your approach shot to ensure you clear the pond protecting the front-left portion of the green. Take note of the pin position before selecting your club, as the green’s elongated back-left section can make distance control especially important.

When the pin is positioned toward the rear of the green, favouring the centre of the putting surface can often be the smarter play, leaving an uphill putt and reducing the risk brought into play by the water.
