Local Rules


To be read in conjunction with the Rules of Golf.

Out of bounds
1. The fence around the perimetre of the golf course and car park is out of bounds.
2. On course out-of-bounds areas marked with white posts with a black tip.
3. All lakes and drains are to be treated as water hazards and a drop is to be taken according to the rules of golf.

Hazards & Penalty Areas
1. Hazards and penalty areas will be marked on the golf course with yellow or red stakes.
2. If your ball enters a hazard, the ball must be lifted and dropped no nearer the hole.

Free Relief
1. Ball can be lifted and dropped with no penalty at the nearest point of relief when:
a. Swing is impeded by a staked tree or shrub under two club lengths in height.
b. Ball is embedded on a green or tee, other than the one being played.
c. In a machinery wheel track, in an area defined as G.U.R.
d. If a swing is impeded by a man-made structure within the golf course.
e. Designated path or roadway within the course.
