Rising Talent on Display at SPGC

Spring Park Golf Course was proud to host the second Ivo Whitton / Susie Tolhurst Open Amateur on Sunday, 21 September, welcoming a strong field of talented amateur golfers for a memorable day of competition. With excellent course conditions and a competitive atmosphere, the event once again highlighted the depth of emerging golf talent across Victoria.

The men’s championship was claimed by Jye Kruyer of Southern Golf Club, who produced a composed and consistent performance to finish at +2, holding off a quality field to take the title. In the women’s event, Hannah Wong from Metropolitan Golf Club showcased her class and determination, securing the championship with a score of +7 after a hard-fought round.

Speaking after the event, Jack Macdonald, National Golf Programs Manager, praised the standard of play and the spirit of the day.

“It was fantastic to see such a strong field and such high-quality golf on display. Events like this are vital for the development of amateur players, and we’re incredibly proud of how the course and competitors came together to produce a great championship.”

Spring Park Golf Course congratulates all players who took part and extends special congratulations to our 2025 champions for their outstanding achievements. We would also like to thank officials, volunteers, and supporters who helped make the day a success. We look forward to welcoming the Ivo Whitton / Susie Tolhurst Open Amateur back next year and continuing to provide a platform for Australia’s rising amateur stars.
